CCTV Wireless Cameras

A CCTV wireless camera is a useful tool for home security. It is far easier to install as it is not neccessary to run a cable back to the monitor or recording equipment. In some situations it is simply not possible to run a cable between camera and control equipment which is where a wireless camera is the only option.

In most domestic environments cameras are fitted after fully furnished therefore a wireless camera vastly reduces the upheval and damage caused by installation.

CCTV wireless cameras transmit the video / audio signals on the legally subscribed frequencies of 2.4GHz / 5.8GHz. The range for standard products is quoted at 100m freespace which will redcuce dependent upon the number and thickness of the barriers inbetween the camera and receiver. In a conventional dometic environment at least 50m such be expected.

CCTV Wireless systems can be used on their own or with wired CCTV cameras to give the best available coverage for the user.
